Too Busy to Date

Nope, you’re not too busy to date and find a partner

“This isn’t the right time” and “I’m too busy with work” are ways you hide anxiety about the the dating process or any big goal for that matter

Deep down you may be worried about your age, if you’re good enough, being attractive, if you’ll find the right person, or how hard the process might be

Your brain senses you’re about to take a risk and attempt a big step out of the comfort zone

So fear kicks in and the brain offers up a reason: “I’m too busy, I don’t have time”

If you’re too busy to date, then you won’t have to deal with the anxiety

You won’t have to learn new skills, a new dating process or build your faith for the outcome

It's so much easier to get validation from doing amazing work for in business or your profession

Moving and shaking things at work is at least within your control

So you put it off to work on it when you have more time, when work slows down, when you’re not so busy

Then you can date at a leisurely pace

The real question is if this imaginary leisurely time will ever come?

What other things do you have on hold because you’re busy?

When was the last time you were NOT busy?

What if there was enough time right now for you to find the love you want?

Or start your business?

Or move?

What if right now was exactly the right time to prioritize your goals?

What if your brain was just tricking you into staying stuck?

To create the life and love you want, you have to prioritize your growth

How are you REALLY spending your time?

Are you fatigued at the end of each day?

Are you letting work take over your whole life and is this how you want things to be?

Is this how you want to live this one life?

Try this instead:

Log your time for a week to see EXACTLY where your time is going

You might be shocked at how much time you spend:

Overworking

Scrolling on social media/TV

Snacking

Worrying and overanalyzing

Recycling other people’s drama

It’s time to Reclaim your time and attention for your own life - healing, growing, learning new skills, travel, career/money goals, engaging with your children, dating etc.

If you want love, you have to make the time to cultivate it

How else will you have time to nurture a marriage?

Part of the work I do is helping my clients get a hold of their time and create the space in their life for the love they want even if they are juggling work, kids, business, or aging parents
